The source of the Dora Baltea / Doire Baltee river originates from the Mont Blanc where the Dora di Ferret converges with the Dora di Veny.  The river travels through the Aosta Valley, through the medieval town of Aosta and Saint Vincent, towards Piedmont, passing through the city of Ivrea and a large portion of Canavese until it reaches the Po close to Chivasso.
 
Best conditions: early summers from the month of May to June and from July to September when the levels are much more moderate and the temperature is warmer.
Not for persons under the age of 16 years.
