Piolet d'Or: Awards Official Ceremony

The Global Alpinism Meeting "Piolet d'OR" presents Official Ceremony of the 2015 Awards at Palanoir Cinema - Courmayeur

Sat 11 April 2015 from 9pm the Official Award Ceremony presented by Kay Rush takes place at the Palanoir Cinema in Courmayeur. Exclusive videos and interviews with the 2015 Piolets d’Or protagonists will be screened during the evening.

The event also features an original musical performance by Aosta-based band l’Orage, performing for the first time with Trouveur Valdotène.

• Piolet d'Or Career - Walter Bonatti Award to British alpinist Sir Chris Bonington
• Piolets d'Or 2015 for the selected ascents of the year:
  - "Thamserku" with Aleksander Gukov and Aleksey Lonchinskiy (Russia)
  - "Hagshu" with Ales Cesen, Luka Lindic and Marko Prezelj (Slovenia)
  - "Fitz Roy" with Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold (USA)
